With a focus on product innovation and an unparalleled customer experience, we strive to be the go-to source for high-quality and sustainably made custom products.Position OverviewThe Director of Manufacturing will lead Pepper's end-to-end manufacturing and sourcing strategy, owning vendor partnerships, cost structure, and supply chain execution. Reporting directly to the COO, they will build a scalable and capital-efficient production infrastructure to support growth. They will manage mill and factory partners, drive cost and process optimization, and work cross-functionally to improve margins, lead times, and overall operational performance. Experience supporting product development is a plus, but not the core focus of the role.ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end manufacturing and sourcing strategy, including factory and mill relationships, negotiations, and onboardingDrive cost optimization across materials, labor, and production to improve margins and working capital efficiencyDevelop and execute a scalable production strategy, including vendor diversification and capacity planningLead supply chain operations, optimizing lead times, production workflows, and overall operational performanceIdentify and implement process, systems, and cross-functional improvements to increase efficiency, align teams, and support growthQualifications7-10+ years of experience in manufacturing, sourcing, or supply chain within a consumer or DTC brandProven experience managing factory and mill relationships, including sourcing and negotiationsStrong track record of driving cost reduction and operational efficiency in a growth environmentDeep understanding of production planning, lead times, capacity, and vendor strategyHighly analytical, with the ability to use data to inform operational and financial decisionsStrong cross-functional operator with excellent communication skills and high ownershipAdditional DetailsFull-time, hybrid position in NYCHybrid schedule: 3 in-office days per week Salary range: $150,000-$170,000 (based on experience and skillset) Benefits package includes: health benefits, paid parental leave, generous PTO, and employee discountsOpportunities for professional development and career advancement within the companyFun, fast-paced and collaborative work environmentPepper Home is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
