Production Manager - Consumer Products ManufacturingWe are seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead our client's primary product line within a growing, 200-person manufacturing facility. This role will oversee approximately 70 hourly associates and front-line leads, driving day-to-day operations while building a strong, accountable team culture. The ideal candidate brings a balance of leadership, operational discipline, and continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to develop people, optimize processes, and deliver consistent results in a fast-paced consumer products and packaging environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and develop a team of 70 hourly associates and supervisors across the main production line Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and engagement on the production floor Ensure daily production targets are met across safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles Monitor KPIs and production data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement Partner with cross-functional teams (maintenance, quality, engineering, supply chain) to resolve issues and improve performance Optimize labor utilization, workflow, and line efficiency to maximize throughput Support and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production or quality issues Assist with training, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements QualificationsMinimum 5+ years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment Proven ability to lead and develop large teams in a production setting Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles Continuous improvement mindset with a track record of driving operational enhancements Solid problem-solving skills with an analytical, "engineering-minded" approach Experience working in consumer products, packaging, or high-volume manufacturing environments preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build trust across all levels of the organization Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) If you're a driven leader who thrives on developing teams and improving operations, we'd love to connect.
