Junior Estimator - Commercial Drywall Subcontractor (Fort Lauderdale, FL)I am currently partnered with a well-established commercial drywall subcontractor in the Fort Lauderdale area that is looking to bring on a Junior Estimator to support their growing preconstruction team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their estimating career to join a stable company with a strong pipeline of work and clear long-term growth potential.Position Overview:The Junior Estimator will support the estimating team in preparing accurate bids and takeoffs specifically within the commercial drywall scope. This role will work closely with senior estimators, project managers, and field teams to help ensure competitive and well-coordinated project pricing.Key Responsibilities:Assist in performing quantity takeoffs for drywall, metal framing, and related scopesSupport the preparation of detailed estimates and proposals for commercial drywall packagesHelp gather and analyze material and vendor pricing specific to drywall systemsReview plans, specifications, and bid documents with a focus on interior scopesCoordinate with internal teams to ensure full scope coverage and accuracyAssist in maintaining bid schedules and estimating documentationKey Requirements:2 to 7 years of experience specifically with a commercial drywall subcontractorHands-on exposure to drywall estimating, takeoffs, or project support within drywall scopesWorking knowledge of drywall systems, metal framing, and interior finishesAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong attention to detail and willingness to continue developing within estimatingProficiency in Bluebeam, On Screen Takeoff, or similar software is a plusEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: Fort Lauderdale, FLSalary Range: $75,000 to $110,000 base depending on experienceBenefits Include:Health Insurance including Medical, Vision and DentalLife InsuranceFlexible Spending Account401kPaid Holidays, Vacation, Sick and Personal TimeThis is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career specifically within the commercial drywall subcontracting space while being mentored by an experienced team.For immediate consideration, please email edgardo@.
