The EHS, Continuous Improvement (CI) & Production Planner plays a vital role in fostering a safe, efficient, and high-performing work environment. This position is responsible for leading environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives, driving continuous improvement efforts, and developing effective production plans that meet customer demand while upholding quality and operational excellence.By integrating safety leadership, process optimization, and strategic scheduling, this role ensures smooth operations, maximizes efficiency, and supports consistent, on-time delivery. As a key contributor to operational success, this position directly impacts service levels, cost performance, and overall business growth.What You'll DoEnvironmental, Health & Safety (EHS)Lead and promote a strong safety culture across all shifts and departmentsEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulatory requirementsDevelop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training programsConduct safety audits, risk assessments, and Gemba walksInvestigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actionsMaintain SDS compliance and hazard communication programsTrack and report safety KPIs (recordables, near misses, safety observations)Coordinate emergency response plans, drills, and safety committeesContinuous Improvement (CI)Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, Visual Management, Heijunka)Identify process inefficiencies and lead improvement projects to increase productivity and reduce wasteFacilitate root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, A3 problem solving) for quality and operational issuesPartner with cross-functional teams to improve quality, delivery, and cost performanceDevelop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to monitor performanceLead training and coaching for supervisors and operators on CI tools and methodologiesSupport cost reduction initiatives (scrap reduction, labor efficiency, process optimization)Production PlanningDevelop and manage daily and weekly production schedules based on demand, capacity, and material availabilityEnsure on-time delivery performance (standard and rush orders)Coordinate with Purchasing, Prepress, and Manufacturing to align supply and demandMonitor WIP levels, inventory turns, and Kanban systemsAdjust schedules in real-time to address machine downtime, labor constraints, or priority changesAnalyze capacity and recommend improvements to meet forecasted demandSupport planning for peak periods and contingency planningKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Safety: Zero recordable incidentsQuality: Reduction in defects and customer claimsDelivery: On-Time to Promise = 99.5% (All Products), = 98% (Rush)Cost: Reduction in scrap, labor %, and operational wasteInventory: Improved inventory turns and reduced excess/obsolete stockCI: Number and impact of improvement initiatives implementedWhat You BringBachelor's degree in engineering, Operations, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field (preferred)3-5+ years of experience in manufacturing, EHS, CI, or production planningStrong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety systemsExperience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement toolsProficiency in ERP/MRP systems and production schedulingStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsEffective communication and leadership skillsAdditional Qualifications and SkillsSafety Leadership & AccountabilityData-Driven Decision MakingProcess Optimization & Lean ThinkingCross-Functional CollaborationProblem Solving & Root Cause AnalysisTime Management & PrioritizationWork EnvironmentManufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and moving equipmentAbility to support multiple shifts as needed100% on-site position, no hybrid or remote work availablePhysical RequirementsAbility to use hands and fingers to operate office equipment (e.g., keyboard, mouse, phone)Visual acuity to read and produce printed and digital documentsOccasional lifting of up to 50 pounds (e.g., office supplies, sample materials, marketing displays)Ability to move about the office or attend meetings in various areas of the buildingClear verbal communication, in person and via phone or video conferencingAbility to safely navigate through a light industrial environment for collaboration with production teamsOccasional climbing, stooping, bending and overhead reachingWhy StickerGiant?Core Benefits:Health, dental, and vision offered at reduced rates.High-deductible health plan enrollees will receive an annual company contribution towards your HSALife insurance and short-term disability insurance covered at 100%Voluntary benefits include accident & critical illness, long-term disability, identity theft insuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Leave: Paid parental leave for employees who qualify for FMLA401(k): Company matches 100% of the first 1% of your pay, and 50% of the next 5%Compensation Range: $75,000 - $85,000 annuallyThis range reflects the base pay we reasonably expect to offer for this role.
