This role requires strong leadership, collaboration with project teams and school stakeholders, and a deep understanding of building in active or occupied environments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day field operations from preconstruction through project closeoutDevelop and maintain project schedules, logistics plans, and site safety plansCoordinate subcontractors, self-perform crews, inspectors, and vendorsEnsure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and contract documentsManage construction in active/occupied school environmentsCollaborate with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, and School District representativesMentor field staff and foster a positive, inclusive jobsite cultureEnforce company safety program and OSHA complianceQualificationsProven experience as a Superintendent on K-12 projectsStrong knowledge of ground-up and renovation school constructionExperience managing complex schedules and multiple tradesAbility to lead diverse teams and communicate effectively with all stakeholdersFamiliarity with self-perform construction is strongly preferredOSHA certification preferred (or ability to obtain)Willingness to work on projects throughout the Chicago areaCompensation & BenefitsThey offer a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits, including:Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with company participationVacation and Paid LeavePaid Holidays and Sick DaysCell phone and car allowance
