We're Hiring: CNC Machine Programmer / Machining Shop TechnicianLocation: North Hollywood, CA 91601Duration: 6+ Months Contract (extension possible based on performance)Pay Rate: Excellent - Based on Experience Shift: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM-Occasional B Shift: 1-2 times/month | 2:00 PM - 10:00 PMAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Programmer / Machining Shop Technician to support mission-critical manufacturing operations. This role is part of an integrated team spanning Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance, directly impacting spaceflight programs and objectivesIf you're passionate about precision, quality, and contributing to cutting-edge aerospace manufacturing, this is an opportunity to make a real impact.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes, as well as manual machines (mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, etc.)Program CNC equipment using models, drawings, or process instructionsLoad, secure, and prepare raw materials; select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and work holdingOperate waterjet and other CNC cutting equipment for rough cutting and profilingPerform part cleaning, deburring, fitting, rework, and basic assemblyInspect parts using standard metrology tools and verify conformance to drawings and specificationsSupport prototype, test, and production hardware buildsMaintain shop organization and cleanliness per 5S and safety standardsPerform basic tool and equipment maintenance and assist with troubleshootingCollaborate with engineering, technicians, and production teams to meet quality, cost, and schedule goalsDocument and help standardize production processesEnsure product quality and compliance with engineering requirementsRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience with CNC machining (3, 4 & 5-axis)Strong hands-on experience with mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, and standard shop toolsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and basic GD&TProven ability to work independently in prototype, test, or production environmentsExperience with deburring, fitting, assembly, and reworkKnowledge of shop safety practices, lockout/tagout, and PPEFamiliarity with 5S or lean manufacturing practicesEnglish (Read, Write, Speak)Preferred QualificationsHands-on CNC programming experience (conversational controls and/or CAM)Advanced setup skills including fixture design and tool selectionExperience operating waterjet or similar CNC cutting equipmentExperience machining exotic materials, ceramics, or delicate partsWhy Join Us? ?
