This role focuses on surgical prior authorizations, insurance verification, and accurate documentation to support the scheduling team.What You'll Do:Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and obtain prior authorizationsReview diagnosis (ICD-10) and CPT codes to meet payer guidelinesWork directly with insurance plans and internal clinics (no patient calls)Process and document authorization requests accurately in the systemUpdate demographic information to ensure clean patient recordsMeet productivity and accuracy standards in a high-volume environmentSupport training on authorization procedures as neededWhat You Bring:High School Diploma or GED2+ years in medical billing or authorizationStrong knowledge of surgical authorizations, CPT/ICD10 codes, and CMS/insurance guidelinesOphthalmology experience a plusDetail-oriented, reliable, and HIPAA-compliant
