Men's Tops Design Assistant

At AG, we are committed to delivering exceptional quality, with every stitch rooted in our passion for denim.Los Angeles-based premium denim market leader, AG Adriano Goldschmied, is seeking an Assistant Designer to assist in the design and development of the Men's Tops collection. The Assistant Designer will work closely with cross-functional partners in Tech Design, Pattern and Production on fit and costing ensuring the integrity of the product is maintained through the entire design/production process. The Assistant Designer will report to the Men's Senior Tops Designer and will work collaboratively with the current sportswear team. The Assistant Designer will assist in creating commercially viable designs and products that will align with the AG brand.Specific Responsibilities:Responsible for assisting in the design and development of the seasonal Men's Tops lineAssist in developing seasonal design trends and concepts specific to the Men's Tops category consistent with the seasonal conceptWork closely with our import factory assisting on the development of a well balanced Men's Tops collectionSet up styles in PLM systemIssue sample requests & track from start to finishDuring seasonal development, review color throughout lab dip process to ensure desired color is achievedComplete all tasks according to corporate calendar. Must fully understand definition of each line itemAccuracy and follow through in all aspects of the job are essentialSkills and Requirements:BA Degree from Art and Design college, major in Apparel DesignMinimum of 1 years contemporary men's and/or women's wear design experience requiredKnowledge of woven fabrications, construction, and designStrong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as well as ExcelHighly organizedAbility to shoulder feedback and communicate effectively and directlyPrefer passionate individual who will thrive in a fast-paced work environment
