Apparel Technical Design Assistant

V. Chapman is a women's clothing brand that specializes in occasion dresses. We work in a fast-paced environment with a small but growing team. We are looking for a Technical Design Assistant who will work with our design team with the development of new product. We are looking for someone who is responsible, hard working, organized, and detail-oriented. Excellent written & verbal communication skills, follow-up skills, math skills, and computer skills are a must.As part of our design team, you will create and manage tech packs, measure and inspect fit samples upon arrival, compile and communicate fit notes to our factories and manage samples and swatches.The ideal candidate has extensive experience in working in Adobe Illustrator, specifically in a clothing technical design capacity, has experience in measuring garments, garment construction, creating CAD's, creating tech packs and communicating with factories. We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude, is eager to learn, willing to be hands on, and work with a small team. Some knowledge of overseas clothing production is great too!Qualifications:Bachelor's DegreeFashion School3+ years experience in a technical design roleProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft ExcelProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Illustrator
