PMO ManagerType: Direct Hire / PermanentLocation: Irving, TXWork Setting: HybridOur client is seeking an experienced PMO Manager to lead enterprise portfolio management and support strategic, business-focused initiatives across multiple divisions. This position will ensure projects align with organizational goals while establishing standards, improving processes, and providing leadership visibility into project performance.This is a business-side PMO position focused on operational and organizational initiatives rather than deeply technical IT project delivery.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in portfolio management, PMO governance, process documentation, and stakeholder collaborationKey ResponsibilitiesManage enterprise project portfolio oversight, ensuring initiatives align with organizational strategy and leadership prioritiesOversee and coordinate business-focused projects, programs, and strategic initiatives across multiple divisionsMonitor resource allocation and team capacity to support successful project deliveryEstablish and maintain project management standards, methodologies, and toolsProvide executive-level reporting and visibility into project status, risks, and performanceDevelop and maintain operational documentation, including workflows, governance guides, and procedural documentationSupport continuous service improvement (CSI) initiatives, including facilitating post-incident reviews and implementing operational improvementsHelp maintain the organization's knowledge management resources, including internal documentation libraries and learning materialsPartner with stakeholders to translate business goals and workflows into clear procedural and technical documentationRequired Skills & Experience5+ years of experience in portfolio management, project management, or PMO leadershipExperience managing or supporting a Project Management Office (PMO)Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft productivity suite, including:WordExcelPowerPointMicrosoft Planner (Premium Edition)Visio (or Lucidchart)Experience using Microsoft Planner to manage projects or portfoliosStrong technical writing and documentation skillsAbility to collaborate with stakeholders and document business processes, procedures, and workflowsExperience supporting continuous improvement or service improvement initiativesPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with ITIL Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) practicesExperience facilitating Post-Incident Reviews (PIRs) and implementing process improvementsBackground in business analysis or process improvementExperience with business process automation (BPA) initiativesIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate has experience working within a PMO environment and enjoys building structure through governance, documentation, and process improvement. This individual should be comfortable working with business stakeholders and supporting enterprise-level initiatives in a non-technical, operations-focused environment.
