About the RoleThe Outbound Transportation Intern supports daily shipment execution and coordination across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels, while monitoring shipments from origin to destination. The role involves analyzing transportation data to identify trends, supporting KPI reporting and dashboards, assisting with freight optimization and carrier communication, ensuring compliance with routing guidelines, contributing to process improvements, collaborating cross-functionally, and delivering a final presentation with key insights and recommendations.You'll Make a Difference BySupporting daily outbound shipment activities and monitoring shipment status from origin to destination Assisting with coordinating outbound shipments for retail support, store launches, trade shows, and returns Analyzing transportation data to identifying trends in cost, transit time, service performance, and exceptions Supporting the development and maintenance of transportation dashboards and KPI reporting Assisting with optimizing freight through route review, consolidation opportunities, and mode selection analysis Supporting carrier and partner communication while documenting service issues and follow-up actions Ensuring shipments are being executed in alignment with routing guides and compliance requirements Participating in process improvement efforts, including updating SOPs and mapping workflows Collaborating with Logistics teams and stakeholders on projects and initiatives Completing a final presentation summarizing learnings, analysis, and improvement recommendationsAbout YouPursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Analytics, or a related fieldDemonstrating interest in transportation, logistics, and supply chain operationsApplying strong analytical skills and working with data and basic reportingUsing Microsoft Excel, with familiarity in Word and PowerPointCommunicating effectively and showing willingness to learning in a fast-paced environmentManaging multiple tasks and meeting deadlines with guidanceHaving prior exposure to logistics or supply chain concepts (preferred but not required)Having familiarity with tools such as Tableau, SAP, TMS, or WMS (a plus)About AriatAriat is an innovative, outdoor global brand with roots in equestrian performance.
