Autonomous Vehicle Safey Manager

Role: AV Safety ManagerLocation: Santa Clara, CA(ongoing)The Evergreen Safety Manager owns safety compliance, incident governance, and risk mitigation across Company's Project Sweeping autonomous vehicle operations. This role ensures all field activities meet Company-defined safety standards and applicable regulatory requirements, with a focus on prevention, incident response, and continuous improvement across a multi-location AV program.Responsibilities-Develop, maintain, and enforce safety policies aligned with NVIDIA AV safety standards and regulatory requirements-Monitor safety KPIs, incident trends, and near-miss data across all operating locations-Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis (RCA), and corrective action plans-Oversee driver qualification standards, defensive driving requirements, and safety training programs-Partner with Driver Coordinators and field leadership to reinforce day-to-day safety adherence-Provide safety reporting and insights for weekly operational reviews and -Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)-Identify systemic safety risks and proactively recommend mitigation strategiesRequired Skills & Experience-5+ years of experience in safety management within transportation, autonomous vehicles, logistics, or field-based operations-Strong knowledge of safety governance frameworks, incident response, and corrective action management-Experience supporting multi-location or mobile workforces-Ability to analyze safety data and communicate trends and risks to leadership-Experience operating in safety-critical, compliance-driven environments$55-$65/hr
