Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer 2 - Assembly & InstallationLocation: Seattle, WA (100% Onsite)Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)Pay Rate: $57/hrJob Summaryseeking a Manufacturing Engineer 2 to support Wire Shops, Systems, and Test Labs in Seattle, WA. This role focuses on developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring design compliance, and driving production efficiency. The ideal candidate will play a key role in build planning, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and integrity.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain integrated build plans, including work instructions for assembly, fabrication, tooling, inspection, and kittingPerform Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) analysis to ensure producibility and efficiencyParticipate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to support cross-functional engineering solutionsAnalyze design and build concepts to ensure alignment with manufacturing capabilitiesIdentify and resolve technical issues impacting cost, schedule, and performanceValidate production readiness and implement solutions for complex manufacturing challengesApply lean manufacturing principles to improve processes and efficiencyCollaborate with Supplier Management to support lab test integration and manufacturing requirementsSupport configuration compliance and ensure alignment with program and design standardsRequired QualificationsBachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or ChemistryKnowledge of electrical and/or mechanical manufacturing processes and assembly sequencingExperience working with Aerospace Manufacturing SystemsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsPreferred Qualifications3+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environment3+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering roleExperience leading projects or cross-functional teamsExperience in space or military electronicsFamiliarity with manufacturing tools such as PDM, CAPP, CMES, MESci, EPARTs, or GOLDesp
