Our client, a large national specialty construction contractor, is seeking a ConstructionProject Engineer to join their team in Boise, ID.This role works directly alongside a Project Manager as a true right hand, supporting active jobs from preplanning through execution on a large-scale semiconductor campus construction project across multiple buildings.The focus is to keep projects moving by tracking progress against the estimate, coordinating materials and logistics, and supporting scheduling and field operations in real time. You'll split time between the office trailer and jobsite, staying closely connected to day-to-day construction activity.This role centers on real-time coordination and execution support "” monitoring timelines, aligning field needs with project plans, ensuring materials and sequencing are in place so work stays on schedule, and resolving issues before they impact the field. You'll maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation so the Project Manager has clear visibility into project status at all times, including supporting material orders and utilizing Bluebeam and 3D models to review drawings, mark up plans, and document field conditions.If you're early in your construction career, understand the basics, and are ready to take on more responsibility in a role where you'll grow into larger ownership over time, we encourage you to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesTrack project progress against budgets, schedules, and original estimatesCoordinate material procurement and logistics, including forward-looking planning (2-4+ weeks out) to ensure materials are available and properly stagedSupport project scheduling efforts, including short-term lookaheads and coordination with field teamsWork closely with Project Managers to support overall project execution and issue resolutionAttend jobsite meetings and maintain accurate documentation of project activity and updatesWalk jobsites regularly to monitor progress, identify issues, and support field coordinationAssist with change orders, takeoffs, and basic estimating support as neededUtilize tools such as Bluebeam and 3D models to track issues, document progress, and support coordinationMaintain organized, real-time project documentation using field technology (iPad-based reporting, model markups, etc.)Support a strong safety culture through active jobsite presence and awarenessRequirements1-5 years of experience in construction, project engineering, or related field (internships/co-ops considered)Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline preferredExposure to commercial or industrial construction environmentsFamiliarity with Bluebeam or similar construction/documentation toolsAbility to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documentsStrong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environmentComfortable working both in an office setting and active jobsites (including walking sites, climbing ladders, etc.)Self-starter with a proactive, team-oriented mindsetStrong communication skills and willingness to engage with field teams and leadershipSalary$60,000-$80,000, commensurate with experienceLocationBoise, IdahoOnsiteMonday-Friday BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, and additional company benefits.If this aligns with your experience and career goals, please apply and one of our recruiters will be in touch.Follow us on LinkedIn: RL Talent Partners
