This includes marketing, resident screening and selection, leasing, maintenance, resident relations, accounting, compliance, asset acquisition and disposition, and more.About The Role:Veno Properties is hiring a Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth by securing new property management clients.This role is focused on consistently generating new business and adding new doors to the portfolio each month.You'll work a combination of company-generated opportunities and self-generated leads, supported by a structured system designed to create consistent deal flow. You'll build relationships with referral partners, contribute to marketing initiatives, and convert prospects into long-term clients.We provide structured training, proven resources, and ongoing support to set you up for success.The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, coachable, and results-driven"”ready to take ownership of their role and make a meaningful contribution to the company's growth.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Management & Sales ExecutionDrive new business growth by securing new property management clients and adding doors to the portfolioWork both company-generated and self-generated leadsConduct outreach via phone, text, email, and in-person meetings with prospectsRun consultative sales conversations with property owners and investorsClose new property management agreementsParticipate in ongoing Business Development and Sales training, and actively implement proven strategiesLead Generation & Business DevelopmentBuild and maintain relationships with referral partners (agents, investors, etc.)Conduct outreach including warm and cold callsExecute social media and content strategiesAttend local networking events and industry meetups as a representative of Veno Properties, building relationships and generating new business opportunitiesConduct in-person presentations to referral partners, promoting Veno Properties' referral program to generate new business opportunitiesClient Meetings & Relationship BuildingHost in-person, phone, and virtual meetings with prospective clientsProvide rental market insights and service recommendationsBuild long-term relationships within the local real estate communityPipeline & CRM ManagementTrack all activity, follow-ups, and deals within a CRMMaintain strong pipeline organization and consistent follow-upManage multiple opportunities at different stages of the sales cycleMarketing & Brand ContributionCollaborate on marketing initiatives, videos, and campaignsSupport client engagement and retention initiativesCreate and post content, including self-facing (on-camera) video, to build brand awareness and generate leadsTeam CollaborationWork closely with the property management team to ensure smooth onboardingMaintain clear communication across departmentsWhat We're Looking ForProven sales experience (phone + in-person closing ability)Strong communication and relationship-building skillsComfortable generating business through outreach and networkingCoachable and willing to follow a structured sales processExperience using a CRM to manage pipeline and follow-upsProfessional, self-motivated, and results-drivenWillingness to create video/content for social mediaValid driver's license and reliable transportationMust be able to pass a background check and driver's record check prior to hireMust obtain New York Real Estate License within 12 months of start dateLocation & Work SetupThis is a full-time hybrid role based in the Albany Capital District.
