Confidential Employer.Job DescriptionLead estimating efforts for commercial solar projects by developing accurate, competitive, and well-supported project cost estimatesReview plans, specifications, contracts, and project documents to ensure complete scope coverage and pricing accuracyPerform takeoffs and build pricing for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, indirect costs, allowances, exclusions, and contingenciesSupport preconstruction planning through feasibility reviews, preliminary scoping, conceptual design input, and estimating documentationCoordinate vendor and subcontractor bid requests and analyze incoming proposals for completeness, risk, and competitivenessPartner with design, engineering, procurement, project management, and operations teams to evaluate constructability and identify value engineering opportunitiesHelp develop pricing narratives, proposal support materials, change order input, and estimate summary documentationAttend pre-bid meetings, site walks, and occasional client-facing discussions to validate assumptions and support project pursuit effortsApply knowledge of wage rates, labor classifications, market conditions, and renewable energy incentives to strengthen estimate qualityMaintain organized estimating files, historical pricing data, assumptions logs, and other bid documentation to support future successContribute to continuous improvement in estimating tools, systems, and processesSupport a positive, collaborative, and high-accountability team environmentQualifications3+ years of directly relevant commercial solar estimating experienceExperience estimating commercial solar PV projects such as rooftop, carport, and ground-mount systemsStrong understanding of construction means and methods, electrical systems, and solar balance-of-system componentsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documentsExperience with estimating software, spreadsheets, and document management toolsStrong communication, organization, prioritization, and time management skillsAbility to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partnersComfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentEnergy storage estimating experience is a plusNABCEP certification is a plus, or ability to obtain certification within 12 monthsExperience with Google Workspace, CRM, ERP, Salesforce, NetSuite, or similar platforms is helpfulWhy You Will Love Working HereStrong base salary with room for growth based on experienceHybrid flexibility and a team-oriented work environmentHealth insurance with a free individual optionFree individual dental and vision coverage401K with company matchPTO, paid holidays, and personal dayDiscretionary profit sharing opportunityRelocation assistance or signing bonus support for the right hireA chance to grow your career in a mission-driven industry with real long-term upsideJPC-969Benefits:Dental insurancePaid time offRelocation assistanceRetirement planVision insurance
