Category ManagerLocation: Minneapolis, MNCompensation: $100,000-$130,000 base salarySummaryWe are seeking a Category Manager to lead sourcing and procurement activities for capital equipment, facilities, and large-scale investment projects. This role will partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Project Management to ensure capital purchases are cost-effective, timely, and aligned with business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end procurement for CAPEX projects including equipment, tooling, construction, and infrastructureDevelop sourcing strategies, run RFPs, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier selectionPartner with Engineering and Operations to align technical requirements with commercial termsManage supplier relationships and performance for capital vendorsEnsure compliance with procurement policies, approval workflows, and financial controlsSupport project timelines by managing lead times, risks, and change ordersTrack savings, spend, and capital budgets; provide reporting to leadershipIdentify cost reduction and standardization opportunities across capital spendQualifications5+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experienceExperience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or facilities-driven environmentsStrong negotiation and contract management skillsAbility to work cross-functionally in a project-based settingBachelor's degree preferred
