The company specializes in providing end-to-end supply chain solutions, including air and ocean freight, customs brokerage, and compliance services, supporting clients across a wide range of industries.Position OverviewThe Customs Entry Writer will be responsible for preparing and processing import documentation in compliance with all applicable customs regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of tariff classifications, customs procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure timely and accurate clearance of shipments.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and submit customs entries for import shipments in accordance with HMRC regulationsReview commercial invoices, packing lists, and other shipping documents for accuracy and completenessClassify goods using the appropriate tariff codes and ensure correct duty and VAT calculationsCommunicate with clients, carriers, and customs authorities to resolve discrepancies or delaysMonitor shipment progress and provide updates to internal teams and customersEnsure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policiesMaintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposesRequirementsProven experience in customs entry writing or a similar role within freight forwarding or logisticsStrong knowledge of UK customs regulations and import proceduresFamiliarity with tariff classification and customs software systemsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesPreferred QualificationsExperience working with CDS (Customs Declaration Service)Knowledge of international trade compliance and IncotermsRelevant certifications in customs or logistics (desirable but not required)What's OfferedCompetitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for career growth within a global logistics networkSupportive and collaborative working environmentExposure to international trade operations and compliance
