Job Description Senior Account Executive, College & University SpecialistWe're looking for a dynamic College and University (C&U) sales specialist to join our growing sales team and make an immediate impact ABOUT THE ROLEIn this newly established role, you will be the key stakeholder in developing and continuing to grow the College and University business for a diverse family of brandsWe're looking for a regional salesperson who already has roots in Southern California Colleges and Universities and is ready to turn those relationships into revenue.This is a rare opportunity with national brands that are established and are growing quickly, and we are investing in the right people to execute an aggressive sales planWork is remote with regular in-person, Zoom and conference call meetings. WHAT YOU'LL DOBuild and own a regional pipeline of College and University accounts in Southern CaliforniaDevelop and execute sales plans, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to maximize growth on campusBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and team membersServe as the primary point of contact for customer needs, resolving issues, and ensuring high service levelsSell directly to F&B Directors, Executive Chefs, and Food & Beverage Managers "” the people who actually decide what goes on the menuLead in-person kitchen tastings and product demos that convert interest into ordersManage the complete sales cycle from first introduction through onboarding and ongoing reordersMake regular account visits to strengthen relationships, grow order volume, and introduce new SKUsWHO YOU AREMinimum 7 years of experience in C & U sales selling food products (specialty, frozen, fresh) into broadline distributionYou have real, warm relationships with F&B and culinary decision-makers on C & U campuses in this market "” this is the single most important qualifierYou understand the world your buyers live in: tight kitchen labor, inconsistent prep quality, the pressure to deliver a great guest experience on a managed cost-per-plateAble to work independently with an entrepreneurial mindset "”trustworthy, consistent, and present "”our customers buy from people, not companies.Based locally with a valid driver's license; comfortable being in the market 4-5 days a weekCOMPETANCIESBuilding TrustBuilding Customer LoyaltyFollow-upSales Ability / PersuasivenessManaging WorkAdaptabilityCommunicationNICE TO HAVEBA preferredExperience with CRM reporting preferredWHAT WE OFFERSalary commensurate with experienceMedical insurancePaid holidays and vacation leave401 (k) with employee matchingWHO WE ARESavory Food Group is Southern California's premier independent Foodservice Broker.Women owned and operated for 16 yearsSavory has always been a remote business
