The environment is team-oriented, safety-focused, and driven by continuous improvement.Position OverviewWe are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to lead day-to-day production activities on the shop floor. This role is responsible for driving operational performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost while building and developing a high-performing team.This is an ideal opportunity for:A current Production/Operations leader, orA Manufacturing/Process Engineer ready to step into leadershipKey ResponsibilitiesLead daily shop floor operations, including team meetings, production execution, and staffingDrive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (waste reduction, standard work, process optimization)Ensure production schedules and customer requirements are met efficientlyCoach, develop, and hold team members accountable for performance and safetyProvide feedback, conduct performance reviews, and manage disciplinary actions when neededCollaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and training teamsMonitor and manage labor efficiency, overtime, and workforce planningSupport a strong culture of safety, quality, and complianceTroubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutionsEngage with customers as needed on product quality, testing, and process-related mattersQualificationsBachelor's degree required (Engineering, Business, or related field)4+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment(or 8+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in lieu of degree)Proven experience driving Lean / Continuous Improvement initiativesStrong leadership, communication, and team-building skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, hands-on production environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)Preferred ExperienceAerospace or automotive manufacturing backgroundFamiliarity with AS9100 or similar quality systemsExperience with thermal processing, coatings, or specialized manufacturing processesBackground in process engineering or manufacturing engineeringReporting StructureReports directly to the Plant ManagerWhy This RoleHigh-impact leadership role with visibility across operationsOpportunity to drive Lean transformation and operational excellenceStrong compensation + bonus structureExcellent benefits including 401(k) and pension planGrowth potential within a large global organizationCollaborative culture with minimal micromanagement
