Cloud Engineer

These are tools used daily by engineers and scientists at the world's largest energy companies.We are seeking talented and motivated Cloud Engineers to join our growing cloud engineering team. We are hiring engineers across two teams who will work with cutting-edge cloud technologies on AWS and Azure platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals who are eager to develop their skills in cloud infrastructure and automation.You will report to one of our three experienced team leads, working in a collaborative environment where learning and innovation are encouraged. Our teams are growing strategically - one team will consist of 5 engineers while the other will have 6 engineers, ensuring you'll have peers to collaborate with while maintaining an agile team structure.Responsibilities:Infrastructure Automation: Design, implement, and maintain automated infrastructure solutions using modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practicesTechnology Integration: Investigate and integrate identity management, storage solutions, container platforms, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologiesCloud Platform Management: Work with AWS and Azure services to build, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructureCollaboration: Partner with team leads and fellow engineers to deliver reliable and efficient cloud solutionsContinuous Learning: Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and best practices while building expertise in Terraform, Ansible, and cloud-native servicesMandatory Skills Description:ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field1-5 years of experience in cloud engineering, IT infrastructure, or related technical rolesDemonstrated interest in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) through coursework, personal projects, or professional experienceTechnical Skills & MindsetEagerness to learn Terraform, Ansible, and various AWS and Azure servicesUnderstanding of basic networking, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and system administration conceptsStrong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinkingAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate across teams
