Job Title: Workday Techno-Functional ArchitectExperience: 15+ years in IT, with 8+ years in Workday is a mustLocation: Locals only to Atlanta, GA or New York City, NY or San Francisco, CAEmployment Type: Long term contractJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced Workday Techno-Functional Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Workday solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise and functional knowledge across Workday modules and will act as a strategic advisor to stakeholders while driving scalable, high-quality solutions.Key Responsibilities:Lead end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery of Workday solutions across modules such as HCM, Payroll, Financials, Integrations, and ReportingPartner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutionsProvide techno-functional leadership across multiple Workday implementations and enhancementsDesign and oversee integrations using Workday tools (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, Workday APIs)Ensure best practices in configuration, security, data governance, and system performanceAct as the subject matter expert (SME) for Workday architecture and capabilitiesDrive system optimization, release management, and continuous improvement initiativesMentor and guide functional consultants, developers, and analystsCollaborate with cross-functional IT teams, vendors, and third-party systemsEnsure compliance with organizational standards, security policies, and regulatory requirementsRequired Qualifications15+ years of overall IT experienceMinimum 8+ years of hands-on experience with Workday (implementation and/or support)Strong experience in multiple Workday modules (HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll, Financials, etc.)Expertise in Workday integrations (EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, APIs)Solid understanding of Workday security framework and business process configurationProven experience in architecting enterprise-scale Workday solutionsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsExperience working in Agile or hybrid delivery modelsStrategic thinking and solution designLeadership and team mentoringProblem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and presentation abilitiesAbility to balance functional and technical perspectivesPreferred QualificationsWorkday certifications (HCM, Integration, Financials, etc.) are a plusExperience with data migration, reporting, and analytics in WorkdayExposure to cloud architecture and enterprise integration patternsPrior experience in leading global Workday implementationsKnowledge of compliance standards (GDPR, SOX, etc.) is a plus
