This is a rare opportunity to join a growing, well-capitalized company where HR plays a meaningful role in shaping the organization.The OpportunityWe are seeking a Senior HR Generalist / HR Manager who thrives in a hands-on, high-impact environment. In this role, you will partner closely with the Senior Director of HR and leadership team to support employees across multiple states. The position focuses on HR operations, compliance, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and employee lifecycle management.This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys building structure, managing compliance, and supporting both field and corporate teams.Core HR LeadershipOwn full-cycle HR operations (onboarding through offboarding)Administer benefits, manage open enrollment, and oversee reporting/auditsLead leave management (FMLA, ADA, state programs), workers' comp, and unemploymentEnsure compliance across California and multi-state employment lawsManage HRIS (ADP Workforce Now) and support payroll coordinationPartner on employee relations matters and documentationAdditional ContributionsSupport the rollout of HR policies and programsParticipate in HR strategy discussions and executionMaintain notary certification (within 3 months)Stay current on HR trends and compliance developmentsWhat We're Looking For5-7+ years of progressive HR experience (Generalist / HR Manager level)Strong California employment law expertise (multi-state a plus)HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)Experience with ADP Workforce Now or a similar HRISProven ability to operate both strategically and tacticallyExcellent communication, judgment, and problem-solving skillsCompensation & PerksBase Salary: $110,000 - $120,000Discretionary BonusComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with employer matchHSA optionsGenerous PTO and holidaysFree parking (rare in SF) or transit optionsWeekly catered snacksCollaborative, entrepreneurial cultureWhy This Role Stands OutStable, long-standing company with strong growth trajectoryHigh visibility and direct partnership with leadershipOpportunity to build and shape HR programs, not just maintain themMeaningful impact across a multi-state organizationHow to ApplyPlease submit your resume along with a brief note on your experience and interest in joining Baco Properties.
