We play a key role in their transportation network by managing shuttle movements between facilities, coordinating drivers and dispatch, and ensuring consistent, on-time delivery to GM assembly plants.Shifts Available1st Shift: Monday - Friday | 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.2nd Shift: Monday - Friday | 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.3rd Shift: Monday - Friday | 10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.Occasional Saturday work may be needed based on operational needs.Position OverviewThe Clerk supports daily transportation and dispatch operations by assisting with coordination, communication, and documentation of freight movements. This role works closely with drivers, dispatch, and warehouse teams to ensure loads move safely, accurately, and on time while meeting customer and company expectations.ResponsibilitiesAssist with daily dispatch activities, including route tracking and driver supportCommunicate with drivers, customers, and warehouse teams regarding load status, ETAs, and exceptionsMonitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on-time performanceTrack material flow and report discrepancies or service issuesUpdate and maintain operational records, manifests, and logsSupport safety and compliance efforts by following company policies and DOT/OSHA guidelinesHelp resolve routine service issues such as delays, equipment concerns, or accessorial requestsEnter and maintain accurate data within transportation and dispatch systemsSupport other operational tasks as needed to keep daily workflows running smoothlyQualifications0-3+ years of experience in logistics, dispatch, manufacturing, or distributionHigh school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred but not requiredClear verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentBasic computer skills, including familiarity with Excel or Google SheetsExperience with TMS or dispatch systems is a plusReliable, dependable, and team-oriented work style
