Shermco Industries/ PQE delivers top quality consulting and engineering services to various industries within the industrial and commercial sectors by providing innovative electrical, energy and uninterrupted power supply solutions. Services include: Engineering - Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering; System Studies - Arc Flash, quality, short circuit, load flow; Design of custom solutions for power systems, standby and emergency systems, substation layouts, DC and UPS systems, and more; and Field Services - 24/7 preventive maintenance, emergency response, battery testing, infrared surveys, and commissioning support.We are seeking a local territory account manager with engineering related sales experience in Austin. Responsibilities and expectations include but are not limited to:The primary role of this position will be to provide account management/sales to sell our full line of servicesPerform direct sales and business development activities which contribute to the growth and retention of business so as to meet or exceed targeted sales goalsQualify prospective sales opportunities to determine which opportunities to pursueAccountable for attaining yearly multi-million-dollar sales budgetsIdentify, develop and implement sales strategiesAssist in the preparation of estimates, sales proposals, and sales presentationsVisit assigned account(s) on a regular basis in order to maintain a "strategic relationship" status; identifies necessary account changes and opportunities as quickly as possibleMaintain industry knowledge and improve technical knowledge based on market requirementsSupport our key marketing activities necessary to support sales growth in efforts such as, road shows, national conferences, tradeshows, sales trainings, and various sales engagement activities such as trade organizationsManages pricing and channel issues as they arise relating to competitive quotes and cross selling conflictsSupport account from sales, securing purchase orders, terms and conditions, and customer relationsPerform job walksBe a front-line focal point between sales and production to qualify opportunitiesBe able to support lunch and learns and lead customer discussionsWork with Customer Service group to enhance customer's buying experienceSupport Shermco training events and trade showsImport sales activity into CRMMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree preferred or we will consider experience in a related field in lieu of a degree3+ years of successful outside B2B engineering related sales experienceMust be local to AustinDemonstrated ability to be self-directed and highly motivatedStrong interpersonal, communication, written and oral presentation skills and solid understanding of profitability and other financial measurementsStrong sales skills including and effective negotiation skills, ability to successfully interact with key customer decision makers and influencers, and ability to prospect new customers and forecast future businessMust be able to demonstrate technical knowledge and consultative skillsRequired overnight travel 20% of the timeCRM experience/SalesforceBasic computer skills with the following software: Excel, Word, Adobe, Microsoft Outlook.Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests.Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.All offers are conditioned on acceptable results from a background check and drug and alcohol screening.Must have a valid driver's license, and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record.Must be able to travel overnight approximately 5 - 10% of the time to visit customers, prospective customers, and attend trade shows.
