My Client are a specialist Private Equity Operations Consulting Firm with a singular focus: helping PE-backed portfolio companies unlock measurable value. Their model is entirely execution-led - consultants are embedded directly inside industrial businesses to drive improvements in profitability, throughput, working capital and operational performance.Day Rate - $800 - $1100 (+Expenses) for Consultant & Higher for Manager Level (d.o.e)This role is not producing strategy reports..... Consultants are on the shop floor, in the warehouse, at the facility - doing the work alongside the management team, not watching from a distance.We are building a bench of strong, US-based operational consultants (OPEX), who can be deployed quickly onto client engagements across North America. Projects are typically located in the US, with deployment from your home city. All travel, accommodation and per diem are fully covered. This is 5 days a week on-site, driving improvements.This is a contractor engagement model. Project durations vary "” shorter diagnostic assignments of two to three weeks through to longer implementation projects of two to three months. The right person will be comfortable with a fast-on, high-impact style of engagement.What You'll Be Working On:Operational due diligence assessments ahead of PE acquisitionsPost-close value creation and rapid EBITDA improvementThroughput improvement and capacity debottleneckingCost reduction, shift structure optimisation and overhead eliminationWorking capital and inventory rationalisationBusiness consolidation and site integration for roll-up platformsEmbedding KPI tracking, daily controls and performance routinesWho They're Looking For:The ideal candidate has two to four years of hands-on operational consulting experience, though strong Manager-level candidates will also be considered. Background from execution-focused consultancies - the kind where you are physically on the shop floor rather than in a conference room is strongly preferred.Essential ExperienceTrack record of delivering measurable operational improvement on-site in industrial environments - factories, warehouses, production facilitiesExperience owning and leading workstreams end-to-end, not just supporting analysisAbility to diagnose complex operational problems and translate them into clear, actionable plansStrong with data - Excel, operational KPIs, production metricsComfortable working directly with shop floor teams and senior stakeholders alikeThe Ideal Mindset:You want to see your work implemented and measured, not filed awayYou are comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environmentsYou have a high-ownership mentality - if something isn't working, you fix itYou enjoy working in industrial settings and aren't precious about getting stuck inYou're interested in private equity and want to build exposure to that worldThis Won't Work If:You are not willing to travel Monday to Friday on a full-time basisYour consulting experience is purely strategy with no on-the-ground implementationIndustry only experience - without ConsultingYou have not worked directly in operational environmentsIf you come from a hands-on operational consultancy and are open to US travel, we'd like to hear from you - even if you're not actively looking.
