Total Rewards ManagerLocation: Hazel Crest, IL (Onsite) Industry: Manufacturing Compensation: $120,000 - $135,000 + bonusPosition OverviewWe are partnering with a growing manufacturing organization in Hazel Crest to identify a Total Rewards Manager to lead and evolve the company's benefits and compensation programs. This role has expanded from a traditional Benefits Manager position to a broader Total Rewards function, driven by the need for stronger compensation analysis, structure, and strategy.The ideal candidate is a benefits-first leader with solid compensation experience who is comfortable operating in a hands-on, onsite manufacturing environment, supporting both white- and blue-collar employee populations. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leadership and plays a key role in ensuring compliance, program effectiveness, and employee engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the organization's total rewards programs, including health & welfare benefits, retirement, and compensation initiativesServe as the primary subject-matter expert for technical benefits questions, vendor management, plan design, and complianceSupport and enhance compensation analysis, including pay structures, benchmarking, and internal equity assessmentsPartner closely with HR leadership and engage directly with VP-level stakeholders to provide data-driven insights and recommendationsManage and mentor a Benefits Coordinator, providing guidance, development, and day-to-day leadershipEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to benefits and compensationAct as a polished, consultative advisor to leaders while also being approachable and visible to employeesSupport a diverse workforce across manufacturing, operations, and corporate functions, including regular in-person interaction on the plant floor"Manage up" effectively by anticipating leadership needs and proactively communicating risks, trends, and opportunitiesContinuously evaluate and improve total rewards programs to support attraction, retention, and engagementQualifications & RequirementsBachelor's degree required; HR, Business, or related field preferred5+ years of benefits experience requiredCompensation experience strongly preferred, particularly analysis and program designManufacturing experience is a significant plus, especially in environments with an onsite, walk-up cultureDemonstrated experience supporting both hourly (blue-collar) and salaried (white-collar) populationsStrong people management skills with prior experience leading or mentoring team membersDeep knowledge of benefits compliance and regulations (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, etc.)Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels, from plant floor to executive leadershipProfessional, confident, and consultative presenceMust be comfortable working onsite full-timeWhy JoinOpportunity to shape and evolve the Total Rewards function within a manufacturing organizationHigh visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadershipCompetitive base salary with bonus potentialHands-on, relationship-driven culture where your work has immediate impact
