About the RoleThe Apparel Technical Design Intern will support Ariat's Technical Design team while gaining hands-on exposure to Men's and Women's apparel development. This internship is designed as a learning experience, offering visibility into the product lifecycle from concept through production. The intern will build foundational knowledge in garment construction, fit, and technical design while working alongside cross-functional teams such as Design and Product Development.You'll Make a Difference ByAssisting with basic updates to tech packs, including measurements and construction detailsLearning how to read and understand product specifications, fit blocks, and sizing standardsObserving fit sessions and take notes to support the teamHelping track samples and organize materials throughout the development processReviewing garments with the team to learn about construction and quality standardsAssisting in maintaining records of fit comments and product detailsSupporting simple technical sketch updates using tools like Adobe IllustratorAssisting with other responsibilities based on business needsWhat You'll GainFoundational understanding of apparel construction and garment fitExposure to the product development process from concept to productionExperience working with industry tools and systemsInsight into how teams collaborate to bring products to marketMentorship and guidance from technical design professionalsAbout YouCurrently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Fashion Design, Apparel, or related fieldInterest in apparel development and garment constructionBasic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)Strong attention to detail and willingness to learnOrganized, proactive, and able to follow direction in a fast-paced environmentAbout AriatAriat is an innovative, outdoor global brand with roots in equestrian performance.
