This is not a paper-pushing role - you will build and maintain supplier relationships, drive cost savings through strategic sourcing, and leverage modern tools (including AI) to work faster and smarter.Key ResponsibilitiesManage procurement of materials and services across a $6M+ annual spend, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets are metSource, evaluate, and develop supplier relationships - this role is about building partnerships, not just processing purchase ordersNegotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve measurable cost savingsMonitor supplier performance using scorecards and KPIs, resolving quality, delivery, or pricing issues proactivelyMaintain inventory levels aligned with production schedules and on-time delivery targetsUse AI tools and technology to accelerate sourcing research, spend analysis, and vendor evaluationCollaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, quality, and finance teamsConduct market research to identify new sourcing opportunities and stay ahead of commodity trendsSupport cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projectsEnsure compliance with company policies and industry regulationsWhat You BringBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environmentHands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, or similar) to improve work output "” we'll ask you about thisStrong negotiation and analytical skillsExperience with ERP/MRP systemsExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsStrong organizational skills with attention to detail and pace
