The Product Designer, Private Label supports GameStop's Private Label business with a focus on collectibles, toys, and licensed consumer products. This role is hands-on and design driven, responsible for creating product and packaging concepts that move quickly from idea to market. Working closely with Product Management and Merchandising, the Designer develops concepts that reflect fan fandoms, licensing requirements, and commercial viability. This role presents design concepts internally to merchants and buyers and plays a critical role in selecting products that move forward to market.This position sits onsite 5 days a week in Grapevine, TX.ResponsibilitiesDesign licensed and private label collectibles, toys, trading cards, accessories, apparel accessories, and homewares with a strong focus on pop culture fandoms.Create product concepts from initial sketches through final production-ready artwork, including packaging and presentation decks.Develop fast, high-volume concept explorations and present multiple product ideas for merchant and buyer review.Design packaging layouts and dielines and prepare print-ready files for production.Translate 2D concepts into manufacturable products with awareness of 3D form, scale, and materials.Collaborate with Product Managers, Merchandising, and Licensing partners to align design direction with brand, cost, and timing expectations.Incorporate licensor feedback quickly and accurately to support efficient approval processes.Build clear and effective concept decks for internal presentations and licensing submissions.Maintain organized design files and version control for ongoing and future development.Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight timelines.Adapt designs based on feedback without losing momentum or speed of delivery.Required Skills3-5 years of experience in product design, packaging design, or consumer products design.Experience designing licensed consumer products.Strong portfolio demonstrating collectible, toy, packaging, or trading card design from concept through final execution.Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.Strong understanding of product form, color, typography, and production constraints.Ability to produce high-quality work quickly in a fast-paced environment.Comfortable presenting ideas to merchants, buyers, and internal stakeholders.Strong communication skills and ability to handle frequent feedback and revisions.Ability to stay objective and focused when projects are declined or directions change.Preferred SkillsExperience in toys, collectibles, FMCG, or pop culture consumer products.Experience working with licensors and licensed approval processes.3D modeling experience using tools such as ZBrush, Blender, 3ds Max, or similar software.Experience designing trading cards or collectible card products.Familiarity with factory-ready files and manufacturing workflows.Ability to support and eventually mentor junior designers as the team grows.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
