Business Analyst - Capital Markets Product Team OverviewWe are seeking a strong Business Execution Consultant (BEC 3-level) to support a high-impact initiative within Capital Markets Operations focused on Market Maker Clearing (Prime business). This is a true Business Analyst role requiring deep experience in Agile practices, JIRA management, and UAT/regression testing processesThis individual will play a critical role in bringing structure, discipline, and best practices to a fast-moving environment where Agile frameworks are not yet fully established. The goal is to operationalize processes, improve quality of JIRA artifacts, and streamline testing and release cyclesKey Responsibilities:Own and drive JIRA lifecycle managementCreate, refine, and maintain high-quality JIRA stories with clear acceptance criteria Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical delivery Partner closely with technology teams to ensure build accuracy Lead UAT & Regression Testing CoordinationFacilitate efficient UAT processes (reducing inefficiencies in large group sessions) Validate functionality against requirements and manage defect tracking Ensure proper business sign-off or escalation of issues Establish Agile Best PracticesIntroduce and reinforce Agile "rules of the road" Bring structure to sprint execution, backlog refinement, and release cycles Act as a voice of process discipline in an evolving Agile environment Bridge Business & TechnologyTranslate technical requirements into business-friendly language Ensure clear communication between developers and stakeholders Partner with Front Office, Operations, and Product stakeholders Support Rapidly Evolving Application DevelopmentHelp manage continuous enhancements and post-release changes Contribute to building repeatable, scalable processes for ongoing releases Stakeholder EngagementWork directly with traders, operations partners, and business leads Drive smaller working sessions (1:1, small group) to refine requirements and solutions Collaborate across multiple teams within Operations and Technology Required Qualifications:5+ years of Business Analyst / Business Execution experienceStrong expertise in: JIRA (story writing, backlog management, acceptance criteria)UAT and regression testing processesAgile/Scrum methodologiesProven ability to bring structure to unstructured environmentsExperience partnering with technology teams and business stakeholdersStrong communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and business audiencesAbility to work independently and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications:Capital Markets experience (highly valued) Knowledge of Prime Brokerage / Market Maker Clearing flowsExperience working in large financial institutions Exposure to Product operating modelsExperience with Excel (macros a plus)What Success Looks Like:Improved quality and clarity of JIRA stories and acceptance criteria Streamlined and efficient UAT processes Clear alignment between business expectations and delivered functionality Introduction of structured Agile practices across the team Reduced rework and improved release execution Additional Details:Team Structure: Part of a transformation group supporting Market Maker Clearing Work Environment: Hybrid, highly collaborative, fast-paced Growth Potential: Opportunity to expand into Scrum leadership or Product ownership over time
