Industrial Automation Engineer

We're Hiring: Senior Industrial Automation Engineer | Austin, TXWe are looking for an experienced Senior Industrial Automation Engineer to design, build, and optimize advanced automated manufacturing systems in a high-volume electronics production environment based in Austin.This is a hands-on, cross-functional role ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of controls, mechanical design, and manufacturing systems?? Key Responsibilities:• Design, develop, and deploy automated production systems (PLC, HMI, motion control, robotics)• Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley / Siemens / Mitsubishi)• Develop and maintain HMI/SCADA systems• Design mechanical fixtures, tooling, and automation equipment using SolidWorks• Diagnose and resolve complex electromechanical issues on production lines• Drive continuous improvement (cycle time, yield, uptime, OEE)• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and process engineering teams• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and scale-up into manufacturing?? Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering• 7+ years of industrial automation experience in a manufacturing environment• Strong PLC programming experience (Allen Bradley / Siemens / Mitsubishi / ABB/ Schneider Electric)• Vision System : Cognex / Keyence• Experience with HMI/SCADA platforms• Hands-on mechanical design experience using SolidWorks (fixtures, tooling, automation layouts)• Experience with electronics manufacturing processes (SMT, PCBA, testing)• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and software systems ? Nice to Have:• Vision systems (Cognex, Keyence)• Robotics integration (Fanuc, ABB, UR)• MES or Industry 4.0/data integration experience??
