Lab Technician Location: Arlington Heights, ILShift: Night Shifts 6pm-6amSalary: $28hr-$32hr + BenefitsJob SummaryThe Quality Technician III, reporting to the Quality Supervisor, is responsible for performing product inspections, quality audits, and laboratory testing to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. This role supports quality control processes across incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods within a regulated manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform product inspections, audits, and first article inspections (FAI)Conduct out-of-box audits (OBA) and inspect flat blank layoutsSample and test incoming raw materials and componentsExecute dosimetry measurements and daily dose lab activities (release, pairing, tray delivery, reporting, cleaning)Perform microbiological testing (bioburden, endotoxin, media assessments)Conduct environmental monitoring using viable air samplers and related equipmentSupport corrective action investigations as neededIdentify, escalate, and investigate alert and out-of-specification (OOS) resultsAddress environmental excursions in controlled environmentsMaintain accurate and compliant laboratory documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)Update quality documentation, including quality alertsEnsure materials and products meet internal and regulatory quality standardsWork cross-functionally to resolve quality issuesQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferredMinimum of 4 years of related experience (e.g., microbiology or laboratory environment)Working knowledge of GLP, GMP, USP, ISO, and other regulatory standards preferredStrong organizational, time management, and multitasking skillsAbility to read and interpret moderately complex procedures and work instructionsSolid problem-solving and critical thinking skillsBasic math skills (fractions, decimals, percentages, unit conversions)Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with LIMS is a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision after trainingQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
