Job Title : Prototype Build CoordinatorLocation : Auburn Hills, MIDuration : 1 Year+Job DescriptionAdjust timing for builds based on part and Hoist availability.Review PDB Master BOM's from EBOMPrioritize builds through 2970 Garages.Create build Work Orders for all ground up builds, updates,Create Build Issue Logs to communicate to Engineers daily issuesCreate Misc. parts pull requests based on engineering needsChair weekly build issue and program build planning meetingsCreate Shippers, Gate passes, move requests, etc. for all material movement inside and outside of company.Recommend best practice for Issue ResolutionKey RequirementsMechanical Ability - Highest Priority Candidates must have:Prior mechanic experience (dealership or independent), orSignificant hands-on automotive repair experience beyond basic maintenance (3 years of either work experience in a dealership, automotive repair, or personal experience noted on the supplier notes or cover letter)Strong understanding of vehicle components (brakes, suspension, cradles, etc.)Additional SkillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work with diverse mechanic personalitiesHighly organized; able to manage multi-million-dollar prototype buildsComfortable with Microsoft tools; diagnostic experience is a plusAbility to learn Bill of Materials (BOM) processes on the jobEducationHigh school diploma neededNo engineering degree requiredMechanic certifications are a plus
