You will partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Product Development, and Technical Design to deliver innovative, high-quality apparel that supports women through movement. From concept to execution, you'll drive silhouette, fabric, and color direction, ensuring every detail enhances both aesthetic appeal and function.What You'll DoDesign Development & ExecutionLead seasonal trend and design strategy, from concept through prototype.Develop and present silhouette, fabric, and color direction aligned with Athleta's brand and business goals.Create detailed design sketches, tech packs, and CADs for sampling and production.Work collaboratively with the DPC team to create 3D sketches via CLOOversee concept boards, CAD presentations, and product samples for milestone reviews.Cross-Functional PartnershipCollaborate with Merchandising, Product Development, and Marketing to align product stories with seasonal themes.Partner with Technical Design and Quality teams to evaluate fit, construction, and product performance.Mentor junior designers, providing guidance and feedback to support creative growth.Who You AreA strategic and detail-oriented designer who blends creativity with technical precision.A collaborative problem-solver with a strong sense of trend, color, and performance innovation.Bachelor's degree in Apparel or Fashion Design6+ years of apparel design experienceExpertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and CAD toolsExperience in CLO and CLO SetSkilled in flat sketching, trend research, and storytelling through design.Strong communication and organizational skills; experience in cross-functional collaborationExperience with direct-to-consumer brands and athletic/performance design is a plus.Portfolio required.Benefits at AthletaMerchandise discount for our brands: 50% off regular-priced merchandise at Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic and Athleta, and 30% off at Outlet for all employees.One of the most competitive Paid Time Off plans in the industry. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
