BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE/DATA ANALYST OPPORTUNITY - PHOENIX, AZThis consultant performs complex analytical and technical tasks to support organizational objectives for our client. This role is responsible for data analysis, data mining, report development, and the design, testing, and execution of both standard and ad hoc reporting solutions. The analyst works with multiple data sources and business intelligence tools to deliver insights aligned with strategic goals.About This Role:2-year contract (potential for extension)High preference for candidates local to Phoenix, AZMust have Salesforce Marketing Cloud and SQL experienceKey ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Design and develop reports using data analysis, SQL development, and data mining techniques across platforms such as Tableau, Excel, Power BI, and Salesforce Marketing CloudCreate and manage customer Journeys within Salesforce Marketing Cloud for email and SMS communicationsExtract, import, clean, transform, and validate data from multiple systemsWrite and optimize SQL queries and work within MS Access and DB2 environmentsDevelop standard and ad hoc reports, including detailed, summary, historical, snapshot, and drill-down formatsIdentify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex datasetsCreate report specifications, test plans, and supporting documentation; coordinate production deploymentsEstablish and maintain data connections across multiple data sourcesConfigure report scheduling, subscriptions, access controls, and delivery methodsPresent data through tables, charts, graphs, and dashboards tailored to technical and non-technical audiencesMonitor key performance indicators and identify opportunities for improvementTrack and follow up on remediation effortsDevelop documentation, workflows, and desk aids for diverse audiencesParticipate in projects and pilots by gathering requirements, providing technical input, and supporting implementation timelinesDevelop and deploy SSIS packages for data integration and processingCreate Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions to automate repetitive, rule-based tasksQualificationsExperience with Salesforce Marketing CloudWorking knowledge of SQL (Standard Query Language)Experience with UI Path (Robotic Process Automation) is a plusKnowledge of business intelligence tools including SQL, SSIS, MS Visual Studio, Tableau, Visual Basic, and MS AccessUnderstanding of dimensional and relational database designFamiliarity with statistical analysis and research methodologiesKnowledge of IT lifecycle, system design, and performance tuningUnderstanding of data privacy, security policies, and confidentiality practicesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) and Google WorkspaceKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilitiesSkilled in reporting, data visualization, and RPA technologiesEffective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiencesAbility to translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions and reportsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentStrong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlinesAbility to analyze and manipulate large datasets to generate actionable insightsAbility to adapt to changing priorities and contribute to continuous improvement
