Video Engineer (V1) / Engineer in Charge (EIC)We are a full-service event production and consulting team focused on delivering high-quality audio, lighting, video, staging, and scenic experiences. Our goal is to bring event visions to life through technical expertise and seamless execution.We are seeking an experienced Video Engineer (V1) / EIC to lead video operations from planning through execution. This role serves as the primary technical lead on-site, responsible for managing video systems, leading crews, and ensuring flawless show delivery. This is not an entry-level position"”candidates should have strong hands-on experience and the ability to operate independently under pressure.Working ScheduleMonday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (plus additional hours as needed)Travel required, including nights and weekendsSalary position based on ~50 hours/week averageResponsibilitiesServe as the on-site Engineer in Charge (EIC) and lead the video departmentOversee load-in, system setup, show execution, and strikeOperate video switchers (Blackmagic ATEM, Ross) and manage playback systemsConfigure LED walls, cameras (manned/PTZ), monitors, and routing systemsManage live streaming and hybrid event setupsAct as main client contact for video-related needsTroubleshoot technical issues in real timeMaintain and repair equipment as neededDevelop workflows, diagrams, and pre-production plansCoordinate with audio, lighting, and other departmentsPerform camera shading and color matchingManage recording systems and ensure proper capture workflowsComplete post-event reporting and documentationQualificationsExperience & EducationHigh school diploma (associate degree or equivalent experience preferred)4+ years of live video production experienceExperience operating video switchers in a lead roleExperience with LED walls, video processing, and live production systemsTechnical SkillsStrong understanding of signal flow and AV networkingKnowledge of SDI, HDMI, NDI, and fiber systemsExperience with Dante, Companion, and IP-based workflowsFamiliarity with video formats, frame rates, and color standardsCamera shading and color matching experienceVectorworks or similar software (preferred)Soft SkillsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilityExcellent communication skillsAbility to lead teams in high-pressure environmentsStrong organization and attention to detailAdditional RequirementsValid driver's licenseAbility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as neededAbility to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periodsCompensation & BenefitsSalary range: $70,000 - $80,000 (based on experience)Paid biweekly with annual performance reviews40 hours PTO after probation period50% employer-paid health insuranceSTD, LTD, and life insurance providedDental and vision plans available
