Event Operations Director "” DINX Social ClubDINX Social Club is the Premier Indoor Social Entertainment Venue on Chicago's North Shore, blending Pickleball, Golf Simulators, Karaoke Private Lounge and Private Events into one elevated guest experience.We are seeking an experienced and hospitality-obsessed Event Operations Director to lead and scale our events business while setting the standard for five-star service across all guest touchpoints. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue, overseeing event operations, and building a best-in-class events team in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.Role OverviewThe Event Operations Director partners with executive leadership to define and execute the vision for private events, corporate bookings, and club-hosted experiences. This role owns both event strategy and operational excellence, leading a team responsible for delivering seamless, high-end experiences from inquiry through execution.You will be accountable for revenue growth, team performance, service standards, and the overall guest experience, ensuring every event reflects a premium experience.Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Strategy & SalesOwn and drive the overall events business, including revenue targets, pipeline development, and growth strategyDevelop and execute proactive sales initiatives, partnerships, and outreach strategiesOversee lead management and conversion performance across all event channelsEstablish pricing strategies, packaging, and revenue optimization plansBuild long-term relationships with corporate clients, brands, agencies, and VIP clienteleEvent Operations & Execution ExcellenceOversee the full lifecycle of all events, ensuring consistency, quality, and profitabilitySet and enforce five-star service standards across all event experiencesEnsure seamless execution of private events, corporate bookings, and large-scale activationsOversee event logistics including staffing models, vendor partnerships, F&B coordination, and space utilizationTeam Leadership & DevelopmentBuild, train, and lead a high-performing event operations teamOversee Event Managers, coordinators, and front-of-house staff involved in eventsEstablish clear roles, accountability, and performance expectationsCoach and develop team members to deliver exceptional hospitality and operational precisionLead staffing strategy, scheduling oversight, and labor optimizationGuest Experience & Service StandardsChampion a five-star, guest-first culture across the entire venueEnsure every guest interaction reflects premium hospitality and attention to detailMonitor service quality and implement continuous improvementsPersonally engage with guests, corporate clients, and key accountsResolve escalated guest concerns with professionalism and urgencyVenue Operations OversightCollaborate with the General Manager to align event operations with daily venue performanceOversee operational flow across courts, simulators, karaoke rooms, and social spaces during eventsEnsure efficient use of reservation systems to maximize space utilizationMaintain a strong on-the-floor presence during peak periods and major eventsEnsure facility is looking its bestIn addition to event responsibilities, this role requires periodic facility oversight, providing operational support to staff during non-event periods, and managing opening and closing the venue as need.Administration & Financial ManagementOversee event contracts, deposits, billing, and reconciliation processesTrack and report on event performance, KPIs, and profitabilityManage budgets, forecasting, and cost controls related to eventsPartner with marketing on event promotion, campaigns, and brand alignmentQualificationsMinimum of 5+ years EVENT experience in hospitality, catering, country clubs, luxury venues or restaurants.Proven track record of driving event revenue growth and leading high-performing teamsStrong expertise in event operations, sales strategy, and client relationship managementDeep understanding of premium or five-star service standardsExceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skillsExperience managing complex, high-volume events and fast-paced environmentsProficiency with reservation systems, POS platforms, and event management toolsWillingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as requiredIdeal candidate will have experience at Country Clubs, Event Spaces overseeing Events, Catering, Banquets, etc. Schedule & Physical RequirementsAvailability for nights, weekends, and holidays based on event scheduleActive, hands-on leadership presence on the floorAbility to lift up to 50 lbsWhat We OfferCompetitive base salary + performance-based incentivesPaid Time OffOpportunity to build and lead the events division at a premier, growing social clubHigh-energy, FUN, entrepreneurial culture with significant growth potential
