OverviewThis role sits on the factory floor and focuses on designing, programming, and supporting automated manufacturing equipment used for production. You'll own machines end to end, from control logic and safety to commissioning and handoff to operations. The job blends PLC programming with real electrical and hardware troubleshooting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Day to DayDesign and program PLC-controlled automation systems used in manufacturingCommission new machines and improve existing equipment on the production lineWrite structured, maintainable PLC code and build simple, operator-friendly HMIsWork hands-on with control panels, sensors, drives, and field devicesTroubleshoot machine faults, whether they come from logic, wiring, or hardwareImplement and verify machine and robot safety systemsPartner closely with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to keep equipment running reliablyHard Required SkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or similar5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial or factory automationStrong PLC programming experience, structured text preferredExperience commissioning and supporting automated manufacturing equipmentUnderstanding of electrical systems, control panels, and industrial safetyAbility to troubleshoot both software and electrical issues in a live production environmentExperience working onsite in manufacturing, not just design or simulationBonus / Nice to Have SkillsBeckhoff TwinCAT PLC experienceExperience with EtherCAT, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, or similar industrial networksElectrical design experience including motors, drives, and circuit protectionSafety PLCs, safety relays, and robot or machine safety systemsHMI or SCADA experience such as Ignition, OPC UA, or MQTTRobotics programming experience, ABB preferredExperience with high-volume, precision manufacturing environments
