This role works closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams"”including Finance, Receiving, Warehouse, and Trade Compliance"”to resolve discrepancies, support customs processes, and maintain product integrity.The position also ensures quality certifications are in place, monitors past-due orders, and maintains accurate procurement data and KPIs. Additionally, the Senior Buyer supports audits, enforces procurement policies, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities, with strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, along with advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.What You'll DoReview and validate requisitions before issuing purchase ordersCommunicate with suppliers to confirm delivery timelines and commitmentsResolve PO and invoice discrepancies with internal teams and vendorsEnsure all shipments include required quality and certification documentsSupport customs and logistics issues with warehouse, brokers, and compliance teamsTrack past-due orders and maintain accurate delivery data in systemsCollaborate with receiving to ensure product integrity and documentationMaintain procurement data, KPIs, and support audit activitiesDrive continuous improvement and ensure adherence to procurement policiesResponsibilitiesSupport audit activities by preparing and providing required documentationPartner with auditors to deliver accurate and timely objective evidence upon requestTrack, maintain, and report on departmental KPIsEnsure the accuracy and integrity of procurement data within internal systemsDrive continuous improvement initiatives across all procurement processesMonitor and enforce compliance with procurement policies and proceduresPromote a strong safety culture while supporting ongoing operational improvementsQualificationsBachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Finance or equivalent of education 5+ Years of experience Knowledge of BioPharma and or Material ScienceRequired SkillsStrong negotiation and vendor management skillsDemonstrated leadership and decision-making abilitiesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and WordPreferred SkillsExperience in Oracle JDE or SAP, a plusPay range and compensation packageSalary: $80,000-$115,000 annually.
