As an Outside Sales Account Manager at Mill Steel Company you will be responsible for managing and growing customer relationships within the pre-painted metal roofing market. This role supports contractors, end users, and builders by providing product guidance, pricing, and project support while driving sales growth and ensuring customer satisfaction.Duties and Responsibilities:Manage and grow assigned customer accounts, including roofing contractors, end users, and buildersIdentify new business opportunities and develop relationships with prospective customersNegotiate pricing and bids for pre-painted metal roofing productsProvide product knowledge on painted steel and aluminum roofing, coatings, profiles, and applicationsCoordinate with production, logistics, and operations teams to ensure accurate orders and on-time deliverySupport customers with project planning and order specificationsTrack sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM or internal systemsMonitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needsResolve customer issues related to pricing, orders, or delivery in a timely mannerQualifications:Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or construction-related field preferred, or equivalent experience 2+ years of sales or account management experience, preferable in roofing or building materials Knowledge of metal roofing systems, pre-painted steel or aluminum, and coating technologies (preferred)Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to read construction drawings and understand roofing specifications (preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systemsAbility to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneouslyOrganizational Relationship:This individual reports to the Vice President of Sales, Construction and collaborates with a variety of departments throughout the company. Travel & Location Requirements:This position requires a combination of office and field-based work, with approximately 70% travel, and can be based out of various locations in the Southeast territory of the United States, flexible territory depending on anchor location.
