Job Title: HR Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)Industry: Nonprofit / AssociationLocation (city, state): Washington, DCAssignment Type: Contract-to-hire (through end of September, with potential for extension/conversion)Pay: $25-28/hr (depending on experience)Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).Work Schedule:Part-time, 20-24 hours per weekTuesday-Thursday, 9:30 AM - 5:30 PMHybrid schedule with two onsite days and one remote dayAbout Our Client:Addison Group is partnering with our client, a mission-driven organization, to identify a Part-Time HR Administrative Assistant. This team operates in a collaborative, fast-moving environment and is seeking someone who can provide reliable day-to-day support across HR operations.Job Description:This is a hands-on HR support role responsible for keeping daily operations running efficiently. The position will assist with recruiting coordination, employee records management, onboarding and offboarding activities, and a variety of administrative and project-based tasks. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and eager to contribute wherever needed.Key Responsibilities:Recruiting Support:Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews across teamsTrack and maintain recruiting-related expenses and invoicesProvide general support for talent acquisition effortsOnboarding & Offboarding:Prepare and maintain new hire documentation in both digital and physical systemsAssist with coordinating exit processes and scheduling exit meetingsEnsure employee records are accurate and up to dateHR Operations & Administrative Support:Provide day-to-day support to the HR team on ongoing initiatives and special projectsManage incoming calls and route inquiries appropriatelyMaintain office supplies and coordinate orders as neededOrganize HR file storage systems and ensure documentation is properly maintainedSupport planning and execution of internal events such as trainings, meetings, and employee programsTake meeting notes and help track follow-ups and action itemsProcess vendor invoices and review for accuracy, including benefits-related billingAssist with reporting on a recurring basis (daily, monthly, quarterly)Reconcile departmental expenses and resolve discrepanciesSupport general office logistics including mail distribution and special ordersQualifications:2+ years of administrative experience, ideally supporting HR or a similar functionExperience with scheduling, event coordination, and office supportFamiliarity with HR systems such as ADP and applicant tracking systems (ATS), Greenhouse preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including OneDrive and SharePointStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage data, reporting, and billing tasks accuratelyAbility to coordinate logistics for meetings, events, and special projectsHighly organized with the ability to manage files, supplies, and administrative processesComfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting prioritiesAssociate's degree requiredAdditional Details:Start Date: Early MayInterview Process: Single panel interview (virtual or onsite)Team Size: Small, collaborative HR teamOpportunity for conversion based on performance and business needsHourly schedule may have some flexibility based on availabilityPerks:Opportunity to support a collaborative and mission-driven teamExposure to a wide range of HR functions and projectsFlexible part-time schedulePotential for long-term opportunityAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
