We are partnering with a well-established organisation that is seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor to support their continued growth. This role will play a key part in overseeing payroll operations across a multi-entity environment, ensuring accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement. You'll act as a trusted internal resource for payroll leadership, process optimisation, compliance oversight and team development.Responsibilities• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for a large, multi-entity workforce across multiple states and international jurisdictions.• Supervise and mentor payroll team members, providing guidance, training, and performance support.• Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and international tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and internal SOX-related controls.• Review, analyse, and approve payroll data to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policies.• Manage payroll audits, collaborate with internal and external auditors, and resolve complex payroll issues.• Maintain and enhance payroll processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and system optimisation.• Develop and maintain payroll documentation, SOPs, and training materials.• Partner with HR, Finance, and IT to support cross-functional initiatives and ensure alignment on payroll-related requirements.• Utilise advanced Excel skills and payroll systems (Business Central experience preferred) to support reporting, analysis, and process improvements.• Balance day-to-day payroll operations with strategic initiatives focused on compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement.• Support system upgrades, testing, and configuration changes related to payroll functionality.• Manage competing priorities and strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Skills and Experience• Strong Payroll expertise, including experience in a supervisory or lead role.• Experience managing payroll in a high-volume, multi-entity environment.• Strong understanding of federal, state, and international payroll tax laws and compliance requirements.• Experience working within a publicly traded company with knowledge of SOX compliance.• Proficiency with payroll systems; Business Central experience is highly advantageous.• Advanced Excel skills, including reporting, analysis, and data validation.• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate within a team-oriented environment.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience managing audits and resolving complex payroll issues.• Ability to document processes, develop training materials, and support cross-functional teams.• Excellent communication skills with confidence working directly with stakeholders across the business.• CPP certification preferred but not required.• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
