FOOD R&D Associate (Food Manufacturing) (CA/YM)

A FOOD manufacturing company is seeking a FOOD R&D Associate (Labeling & Regulatory) to join their team in Garden Grove, CA. This position supports labeling and regulatory activities for food products, contributes to product development and process development activities, and performs general R&D tasks including product maintenance and new product development. Food work experience, a bachelor's degree in food science, nutrition, regulatory affairs, or a related field, basic knowledge of U.S. food regulations, FDA requirements, nutrition labeling, and allergensis required.1-2 years of food labeling experience preferred. This is a full-time, in person position with excellent benefits and 401k. (NO Visa Support for this position)FOOD R&D Labeling & Regulatory Associate Duties-Support the review and preparation of product labels, including ingredient statements, allergen declarations, Nutrition Facts, and claimsReview label artwork from a labeling and regulatory perspective and identify required revisions-Conduct regulatory research related to FDA and other applicable food regulations and summarize findings for internal teams-Support regulatory compliance of products, labels, and related documentation-Support compliance activities related to packaging EPR regulations, including data collection and reporting, in collaboration with internal stakeholders-Contribute to product development, process development, commercialization, and product maintenance by planning, designing, and conducting experiments with minimal supervision-Organize experimental data and clearly communicate results to Managers-Provide technical support to other departments such as PD, Marketing, Sales, QC/QA, and Production-Conduct shelf-life testing and sensory evaluation of new and current products-Research food trends, ingredients, and market directions for concept and prototype development-Contribute to product formulation activities by developing and testing product conceptsFOOD R&D Labeling & Regulatory Associate Skills-Must have food work experience-Must have bachelor's degree in food science, nutrition, regulatory affairs, or a related field-Basic knowledge of U.S. food regulations, FDA requirements, nutrition labeling, and allergens-Basic computer skills-Ability to travel-Must be proficient in Microsoft Office-1-2 years of food labeling experience preferred If interested, please apply with your most updated resume including your minimum salary requirement and why you left/or are looking to leave your current company.
