Senior Product Design Engineer

AP Executive Staffing is assisting our customer to hire a qualified Senior Product Design Engineer. As a key contributor in the design, development, and continuous improvement of engineered products used in demanding industrial applications, your key responsibilities include:Leading new product design initiatives from concept, modeling, prototyping, testing, and final production releaseCollaborating closely with manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and production-readyDeveloping detailed technical specifications including material selection, tolerances, manufacturing processes, and assembly methodsUtilizing 3D CAD software to create product models, technical drawings, and engineering documentationConducting product testing, validation, and performance analysis to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and customer standardsDriving design optimization focused on manufacturability, cost reduction, durability, and long-term product performanceParticipating in APQP and continuous improvement activities including PFMEA, control plans, and PPAP documentation where applicableLeading technical design reviews and providing guidance to junior engineering team membersManaging multiple engineering projects simultaneously while maintaining timelines and deliverablesStaying current on new technologies, materials, and best practices within product and manufacturing engineering. kill/Experience Requirements include:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline4+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment including product design, engineering development, and technical problem solvingProficiency with CAD design software and engineering documentationKnowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, tolerancing, and production methodsExperience with APQP tools such as PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office365 applications including Excel, Word, and OutlookThis is an opportunity to join a technically sophisticated manufacturer where engineering has a true voice in product advancement and operational success along with:Exposure to highly engineered industrial productsA stable and growth-oriented business environmentHands-on collaboration from concept through commercializationStrong leadership visibility and career advancement opportunityBase Salary: $85,000 - $121,000 annually
