Job Description

As an Information Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in protecting organizational data, networks, and systems from evolving cyber threats. You will contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of security controls, while actively monitoring for suspicious activity to detect, investigate, and respond to security events. This role partners closely with IT and business stakeholders to strengthen security practices, reduce risk, and support key security initiatives across the organization.What will you do in this role?Monitor systems and areas of responsibility to prevent, detect, and investigate security alertsSupport the development and continuous improvement of security initiatives and strategic focus areasCoordinate, facilitate, and maintain access review schedulesProvide security guidance and troubleshoot issues as neededMaintain and enhance information security documentationDeliver accurate and meaningful security metrics to leadershipContribute to operational security initiatives and cross-functional risk reduction effortsStay current with emerging technologies and apply innovations to security standards and best practicesCollaborate with internal teams, business partners, vendors, and external stakeholders to gather information and recommend best practicesConduct security reviews, evaluations, and risk assessments, and provide actionable recommendationsWhat skills & qualifications are required?Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experienceMinimum of 3 years of experience in an IT security roleExperience designing and implementing information security policiesTechnical SkillsProficiency with data loss prevention (DLP) tools and techniquesAbility to analyze, interpret, and respond to DLP alertsFamiliarity with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing toolsExperience conducting and reporting on vulnerability and penetration testsExperience supporting or participating in security auditsAbility to monitor, evaluate, and respond to security eventsCertificationsRequired: CompTIA Security+Preferred: CISSP, Microsoft Security Certifications (e.g., SC-200), CCSP, CCNA, CCNP Security, SailPoint, Microsoft Purview
