Junior Buyer

Aegis is partnered with a long-standing manufacturer of custom industrial lifting equipment that is experiencing strong growth and expanding operations. This organization operates a large manufacturing facility and is investing heavily in new equipment, facility expansion, and ERP modernization.They are seeking a Junior Buyer to support purchasing operations in a fast-paced, custom manufacturing environment.Responsibilities:Review production schedules and material requirementsCreate and manage purchase orders for steel, hardware, and componentsCommunicate with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and availabilityTrack orders and resolve shortages or delivery issuesMaintain purchasing data within ERP systems (transitioning to Epicor)Support cost savings initiatives and supplier sourcingWork cross-functionally with production and engineeringRequirements:3+ years purchasing experience in manufacturingExperience buying steel or fabricated components preferredERP system experienceStrong supplier communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work in small, collaborative team environmentIdeal background: job shop, machine builder, fabrication, OEM manufacturing.
