Material Planner

This is a 3-month onsite contract role.Position SummaryThe Material Planner is responsible for monitoring inventory levels and ensuring timely procurement of materials to support production and operational needs. This role focuses on preventing shortages and minimizing expedited shipping costs through effective planning and use of SAP.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to support production schedulesPlan and execute timely ordering of materials to prevent stockouts and delaysUtilize SAP to manage material requirements, track inventory, and generate purchase requisitionsAnalyze demand forecasts and align material planning accordinglyCollaborate with procurement, production, and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materialsIdentify risks to supply continuity and proactively implement mitigation strategiesReduce reliance on expedited shipments by improving planning accuracy and lead time managementMaintain accurate data in SAP, including lead times, order quantities, and inventory parametersSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control and supply chain efficiencyQualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Experience in material planning, inventory control, or supply chain operationsProficiency with SAP or similar ERP systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
