Job Description

Our growing client is seeking a Pipeline Integrity Engineer with proven experience in AC interference mitigation and electrical modeling to support the design and implementation of mitigation systems for pipeline infrastructure. This role is highly technical and focuses on evaluating electrical interactions between high-voltage transmission systems and pipelines, developing accurate models, and delivering engineered solutions that ensure safety, compliance, and long-term asset integrity.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design of AC interference mitigation systems for pipeline projectsCollect, validate, and interpret field data, including soil resistivity measurementsDevelop detailed electrical models to assess pipeline exposure to nearby high-voltage transmission systemsPerform modeling under steady-state, fault, and current density scenarios using tools such as CDEGSCollaborate with clients and utilities to obtain accurate electrical system data for modeling inputsTranslate modeling results into practical mitigation designs and construction-ready drawing packagesWork closely with CAD teams to produce detailed engineering deliverablesPresent technical findings and communicate mitigation strategies directly to clientsSupport construction and commissioning activities to ensure systems are installed and perform as designedAssist in integrating mitigation designs into broader pipeline and infrastructure projectsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline)Hands-on experience with AC interference mitigation and pipeline electrical modeling (required)Proficiency with modeling software such as CDEGS or similar toolsStrong understanding of power systems, grounding, and electromagnetic interferenceExperience interpreting utility data, transmission line impacts, and fault conditionsAbility to translate complex modeling results into practical engineering solutions and client deliverablesPreferred QualificationsExperience working in pipeline integrity, corrosion control, or utility coordinationFamiliarity with NACE / AMPP Corrosion Protection (CP) standards
