This is a role where you can make a tangible impact every day on our people, our operations, and ultimately the families we serve.Position SummaryWe are seeking a hands-on, energetic and strategic Human Resources Manager to manage all aspects of human resources for our Bedford Park, Illinois production facility. You will partner closely with operations leadership and management to drive all aspects of human resources management, including hiring, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, compliance, and culture in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Your leadership will drive workforce engagement, support change management initiatives, and ensure our HR practices align with our company's goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape our company culture while managing a diverse range of human resources functions.Key ResponsibilitiesHiringLead full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles, including recruiting / hiring, onboarding, and training Partner with staffing agencies to ensure consistent workforce coverage, negotiate and manage agency relationshipsSupport hiring managers with structured interview processes and decision makingOwn onboarding for non-exempt employees, ensuring strong first-day and first-week experiencesEmployee Relations & PerformanceServe as a trusted advisor to managers on coaching, feedback, and performance managementLead employee relations investigations and ensure consistent, compliant resolution of issuesSupport disciplinary processes with fairness, clarity, and documentationMaintain a visible, approachable presence in the production facility HR Operations & ComplianceEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including wage/hour and I-9 requirementsMaintain accurate employee records and HR systems (our HR system is Paylocity)Partner with benefits providers to manage administration and open enrollmentMaintain and update employee handbook, policies, and proceduresCulture, Engagement & RetentionFoster a positive, inclusive, and high accountability culture across the facilityMonitor employee engagement and proactively address trendsLead team communications, events, and recognition effortsRequired QualificationsBilingual (English/Spanish)5+ years of HR experience, including food manufacturing or similar environmentStrong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices in a production settingExperience supporting high-volume, hourly workforcesHighly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-throughAbility to operate effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on environmentPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related fieldHR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP)Experience with HR systems (Paylocity a plus)What We ValueOwnership mindset and bias for actionStrong judgment and integrityClear, direct communication across all levelsWillingness to be hands-on and present where the work is happeningDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholdersBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision benefits401k savings plan + match up to 4%Employee assistance programLife insurancePaid holidays, vacation days, and generous maternity/parental leaveNurture Life is an equal opportunity employer.
